Acceptable Use Policy

Effective Date: March 7, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs use of the MyBoatOS platform. MyBoatOS is a software platform for licensed USCG charter operators and fleet managers.

Permitted Use

  • US Coast Guard licensed charter operators managing inspected or uninspected passenger vessels
  • Vessel owners and fleet managers overseeing vessel operations, maintenance, and crew
  • Licensed captains and professional crew accessing their assigned trip information
  • Marina operators, boat clubs, and charter fleet management companies

Prohibited Business Types

  • Illegal transportation services of any kind
  • Peer-to-peer boat rental platforms (e.g., peer boat sharing without licensed crew)
  • Commercial fishing operations (platform is designed for charter passenger vessels)
  • Any activity requiring USCG licensure that the operator does not hold

Prohibited Activities

  • Creating false bookings or fraudulent guest records
  • Using the platform to evade USCG or TWIC regulatory requirements
  • Storing or transmitting payment card data outside of Stripe-approved flows
  • Sharing access credentials with unauthorized parties
  • Using the platform for non-maritime business operations
  • Circumventing platform fees or Stripe Connect requirements
  • Using the platform to send unsolicited commercial messages beyond opt-in SMS/email notifications

Data and Privacy

  • You may only collect guest information for the purposes of fulfilling charter bookings
  • Guest contact information may not be used for third-party marketing without explicit guest consent
  • You are responsible for complying with applicable privacy laws regarding data you collect

Enforcement

Violations of this AUP may result in immediate account suspension or termination. We reserve the right to report illegal activity to appropriate authorities.
